Michelle Boudin is an Emmy Award-winning senior reporter at WCNC Charlotte, specializing in investigative journalism. She is a part of WCNC Charlotte's investigative team.
Michelle joined WCNC in December 2006 and quickly got involved in the Charlotte community, including actively working with non-profits across the region and joining the board of First Book Charlotte, an organization that gives books to underprivileged kids.
When asked why trust is important to her, Michelle said: "I’ve worked in the Charlotte community for more than 15 years now, and I’ve worked hard over the years to earn -- and keep -- the trust of the people we serve. I’m grateful every day to have the privilege of telling stories about Charlotteans and on behalf of Charlotteans, and I know how lucky I am to have been in this role for 15 years."
Michelle's reporting has won awards from the Associated Press, Edward R. Murrow, Radio and Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas and she has earned multiple Emmy nominations. She also spent time at Dateline as part of a prestigious journalism fellowship.
A South Florida native, Michelle enjoys traveling, taking her shelter dog to the park and rooting for her Florida Gators.
Before coming to WCNC, Michelle worked as an anchor and reporter in Asheville, North Carolina, at WLOS and was an anchor and reporter for WALB-TV in Albany, Georgia.
In her time away from the station, Michelle is also a freelance writer and regular contributor to People magazine.
