CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After more than five decades on the road and a bounty of rock anthems, Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band are turning the page.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer announced Thursday that he will be making three stops in the Carolinas on the group's Roll Me Away tour celebrating their career. The shows are part of a dozen new concerts added to the successful farewell tour.

“Four songs into Bob Seger’s farewell performance in Atlanta, the friendly man sitting next to me – a first-time Seger concert attendee – proclaimed, “I already got my moneys worth!” Seger had just completed a sturdy take on “Main Street,” complemented by Alto Reed’s chill-inducing saxophone, and a run-through of fiery blues-soul-rockers “Shakedown,” “Still the Same,” and “The Fire Down Below,” so it’s understandable why a fan would feel satiated.”

They'll perform in Charleston at May 10 before rocking Charlotte's PNC Music Pavilion on Thursday, May 16. They'll also perform in Raleigh on May 23.

The Roll Me Away tour started last November and to date, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band have performed 22 sold-out shows. Seger is a member of both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has sold more than 53 million albums during his career.
