A popular fast food restaurant made it onto the Restaurant Report Card this week.
Church's Chicken on Eastway Drive in Charlotte got an 'A' but just barely. The health inspector saw green beans and rice holding below 135 degrees. They deemed that critical as it can make you sick.
There was also a buildup of grease on the equipment, plus the floor, ceiling tiles and walls were damaged. Their grade: 90.5, a very low 'A'. Click here for the full inspection report.
The Tsuki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar on Toringdon Way had several critical violations including handwashing issues and bare contact with food which is never allowed.
There was also buildup where the ice is made and dropped and some flying insects in the kitchen. Their grade: an 88.5, a 'B'. Click here for the full inspection report.
The Bombay Grille on Pineville-Matthews Road was storing raw chicken and cooked chicken next to one another, and some raw chicken was stored over fish in the freezer. That food must be kept separate. Some of their cooked chicken was also out of date, so it was thrown out. Their grade: an 87, a 'B'. Click here for the full inspection report.
Even if the places you eat have a grades above 95, take a peek at their violations, you might be really surprised at what you find and eat.
