A section of North Main Street in China Grove is closed after a crash involving a school bus, police said.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash in the 600 block of North Main Street a few minutes before 7 a.m. Monday. Rowan County dispatch confirmed to NBC Charlotte that the accident also involved a medical emergency.
Rowan County Schools released the following statement:
"There was an accident this morning involving a China Grove Middle school bus. All students are fine and were transported to school safely.
If needed, school counselors are available for students."
