MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — Four people were killed Wednesday and one person was hospitalized after a head-on crash on N.C. Highway 690 in Moore County, the sheriff's office confirmed.
The crash involved two cars and was reported near McGill Road, in Vass, around 11 a.m., according to the State Highway Patrol.
The Sandhills Sentinel reported one person was airlifted to the hospital and a sedan and a sport utility vehicle were totaled.
N.C. Highway 690 was closed until further notice. Information about what caused the crash has not yet been released.
