12 Days of Christmas Workout: days 5-8!

Get fit as you celebrate the Christmas season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Today we are going to do a workout inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas song. Here with more is motivational Fitness trainer Meghan Trainor.

“This is a great way to get your body moving for the holidays” says Trainor. She adds “we are going to do a take on the 12 Days of Christmas starting on day 12.” Here is are the details for days 5-8:

Workout routine for Christmas

8 Maids are Milking – Exercise 8 Skier Skiing: Pull down one arm at a time into a squat position. Be sure to stay up onto your toes.

7 Swans are Swimming – Exercise 7 V holds 100s Arms: this is a move done in Pilates. Sit on your bottom, feet off the ground as you make a V shape with your body. This exercise works on your core and it looks like your slapping the water surface as you hold that position..

 6 Geese are laying – Exercise 6 Elevators: Drop down into a squat fast and slowly lift yourself up and then drop back into a squat. This is another multi body group workout.

 5 Gold Rings – Exercise 5 “O” Arms: The O arm squats are good for the entire body. Jump into a squatted position with your arms over your head as you make the letter O with your arms. Also this exercise will get your heart rate up.
