CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Anna King joined WCNC Charlotte in December 2023 after serving as a reporter at WOWK in Huntington, West Virginia, for two years.
During her time in West Virginia, Anna was a general assignment reporter covering breaking news as well as stories focused on health and education.
Anna is originally from Chester, South Carolina, and is excited to be in the Queen City and provided the opportunity to cover the stories of her hometown and the Carolinas.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2019. There, she majored in broadcast journalism and minored in business.
While at USC, some of her favorite experiences were her time as an assistant producer with SCETV and taking on a correspondent position with, the national organization, CheddarU.
In her free time, Anna enjoys quick road trips with her friends and family as well as finding new places to try in the surrounding area!
