CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Have you ever dreamed of being in a Hollywood movie? Now's your chance.
Actor Channing Tatum will be in Charlotte this fall to film a new movie called "Roofman."
The movie is set to be filmed in Charlotte from October through December. Producers are looking for local folks to serve as background actors for filming. Anyone looking to audition for a role will have to download the Limelite app. Click here for details.
The true crime movie is based on the story of Jeffrey Manchester, "an eccentric and charming serial robber" who carried out dozens of break-ins at McDonald's restaurants by entering through their roofs, according to IMDb. Manchester escaped prison in the year 2000 and was on the loose for months by hiding in a Toys 'R Us and Circuit City store in North Carolina.
