Kenny Chesney bringing Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour to Bank of America Stadium

Charlotte will welcome the country music star on April 27, 2024, the second tour date for Chesney.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Country music superstar Kenny Chesney says "Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down", and that might mean Bank of America Stadium will heat up when he takes the stage in Charlotte in 2024.

Chesney announced the Sun Goes Down 2024 tour on Tuesday, which will see him taking the Queen City by storm on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023.

Charlotte will be the second stop on his 18-stadium tour; he kicks things off the week before in Tampa, Fla., and will have stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Nashville to name a few.

Chesney will be joined by the Zac Brown Band, newcomer artist Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker, whom he partnered with for the song "When The Sun Goes Down", from which the tour takes its name from.

“I wanted a name that suggested – obviously – when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going,” Chesney says of his 2024 tour name. “But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves."

Chesney lauded his tour mates in Tuesday's announcement, praising the unique offerings from each artist joining him.

“Zac Brown Band understands high-energy country, the same way Alabama did, and they’ve got our friend Caroline Jones in their line-up now, too,” he said. “Megan Moroney isn’t just one of the smart new voices in country, she’s really bringing a sense of heart and joy to the music – and I’m fired up to be bringing her out to No Shoes Nation. And Uncle Kracker has been part of so many fun times, crazy moments and memories made, it always kicks things up a notch when he’s out there with us. So, it really is old friends, new friends and a whole lotta love.”
