CHARLOTTE, N.C. — While Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Summer Tour is close to winding down in the U.S., it doesn't mean the rap artist can't add more dates for fans to catch a show from her before she hops the pond.
On Wednesday, Live Nation announced the "Savage" and "Body" singer added a stop in Charlotte at the PNC Music Pavilion set for Wednesday, July 3. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are on sale now on Megan's website. She'll take the stage along with fellow female rap artist GloRilla, known for hits like "Yeah Glo!" and "Wanna Be", which features Megan Thee Stallion.
In addition to standard tickets, hotties - the name given to Megan Thee Stallion's fans - will be able to purchase VIP packages. These can include access to a pre-show VIP lounge, access to a bar and cocktail service through the night, early entry, and more.
The Hot Girl Summer tour kicked off in mid-May and has thus far sold more than 280,000 tickets. 22 arena stops have also been sold out, notable since this is Megan Thee Stallion's first-ever tour outing. Several guest artists have also made appearances at select stops, including Cardi B., Latto, Flo Milli, BUn B., Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Monaleo, Lil Keke, and Z-Ro.
The addition of the Charlotte stop also comes ahead of Megan Thee Stallion's newest album, titled "MEGAN". It's set to release June 28.
Since her career took off, Megan Thee Stallion has won three GRAMMY awards, nine BET Awards, and several Billboard Music Awards for Top Rap Female Artist. She's also been recognized for advocacy efforts with the 2022 Special Achievement Award at The Webby Awards and the Trailblazer Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Notably, Megan Thee Stallion made history in November 2022 as the first Black woman to appear on the cover of Forbes' Under 30 issue. She was also recognized as one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2020 after publishing her "Why I Speak Up For Black Women" op-ed in the New York Times.
