Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the biggest buzzword of modern history. But what can it actually do for us — like now, today — to make our lives a little easier, better, and less stressful? Tech-life pro, Jennifer Jolly, joined Charlotte Today from HP Imagine in Palo Alto, the annual showcase of new technologies that the company says will shape our future. “The future is bright and made easier with HP” says Jolly. She adds “HP just unveiled their newest gadgets, including printers, laptops, and PCs—a “new generation of technology” reimagined from the “chips up” to enhance our overall lives. “ Here are some examples of HP utilizing AI in there products.

HP Envy 6500 All-in-One Printer Series and HP Print AI

It all starts with AI capabilities coming to printers— something many of us have eagerly anticipated. HP just unveiled PRINT AI, a pretty major software that addresses a lot of common frustrations. One standout feature is “Perfect Output,” which ensures that the printed page matches exactly what we see on our screens. You want to print a recipe from a website? Old printing meant 47-pages, all kinds of ads and blank space. Now AI works its magic, recognizes and reorganizes and then reformats it all into one page (complete with gorgeous food photography). This feature rolls out today in Beta and will be available across all HP printers. And, that includes their newest Envy 6500 series announced today. This model boasts a sleek, compact design while producing gorgeous photos at home and creating custom greeting cards more easily—all made from 60% recycled plastic.

HP OmniBook Ultra Flip Next-Gen AI PC

A lot of the “AI laptops” we’ve reviewed added a physical button and that’s about it. HP jumped into this AI-PC era with devices like the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14. It’s a next-gen 2-in-1 “transformer.” What does that mean? It’s a laptop when you need it and a tablet when you want it. Plus, it boasts all kinds of new bells and whistles like a 3K OLED display and AI-enabled camera for crisper, clearer video images when you’re collaborating or talking with friends. It also has a dedicated AI engine that speeds everything up and makes it work more like humans do. This feature really shines during video calls, watching movies, or even sketching and editing our own designs. Everything feels a lot faster and more efficient now, and it offers an impressive battery life of up to 20 hours. For added layers of security, the OmniBook Ultra Flip comes with a free trial of McAfee’s Smart AI Deepfake Detector, which alerts you when something AI-generated appears (that alone is worth the price of admission in today’s world).

HP EliteBook X Next-Gen AI PC)

HP is a company that serves consumers, but it also serves commercial customers. For the more business-oriented folks, they’ve just come out with the “world’s most powerful next-gen AI business notebook,” called the EliteBook X. Its AMD Ryzen PRO processor delivers incredibly high-speed performance for demanding workloads, and it features an AI-enhanced webcam sensor and audio tuning by Poly Studio that make everything look and sound better. Say goodbye to barking dogs or yelling kids in the background during Zoom meetings. It’s just more professional. The new EliteBook X also includes a top-shelf security platform that keeps your sensitive data protected, which is more important than ever in the era of AI.

“One more thing… We just found out about this and love it: HP’s Hope Recycling Futures program refurbishes old laptops and PC’s and puts them back into the hands of deserving kids in underserved communities” says Jolly. She continues “It’s pretty cool and it gives PCs a second life while empowering the next generation with the tools they need to thrive in a digital world.”
