CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The wait is over.... bartaco has just opened in Birkdale Village!
Today we were joined by General Manager, Zach Gauthier and executive chef Pedro Lopez, who shared details on their grand opening.
The restaurant bartaco is brand new to the community. It stands out for several reasons. It’s a place that people visit not just for the great food and drinks but for the relaxed atmosphere. It is meant to feel like an escape; a place where people can leave the real world behind and feel like they are on vacation. The chill, yet upbeat music, the coastal-inspired artwork and design details, the smell of fresh lime zest in the air; it’s a place where people can relax and have a great time with friends and family. The restaurant bartaco serves as a place for various celebrations. “You’ll look around the restaurant at any given moment and see a family with young kids, coworkers out to lunch, a couple on their first date” says Lopez. He adds “t’s a place for many types of social gatherings and casual get-togethers.”
In addition to the ambience, bartaco’s menu draws inspiration from many global cuisines: offering a variety of flavors for guests to enjoy. “At bartaco our food is approachable...fresh, filled with quality ingredients to create bold, bright flavors” says Gauthier. He adds “What’s even better is that almost our entire menu is gluten-free; making it a great destination for guests with dietary restrictions/allergies and we have great cocktails.”
“We are throwing our Grand Opening Party on Thursday April 11th, 7-10pm to celebrate our official opening to the community. Get ready for delicious bites and cocktail, fan favorite tacos like our pork belly, chicken, ribeye, duck, baja fish, mushroom, falafel tacos and more. Plus we'll have esquites, plantains, chips + salsa + guacamole + poke + pineapple tajin skewers – and for dessert we'll have churros and mini key lime and tres leches."
Guests will be able to try their brand new crispy soft-shell crab and they'll have a fully open bar for guests to order from their cocktail list. But that’s not all, bartaco is going to have live music by Dub Kartel to get the party vibes right, a photo booth so guests can capture some great memories and did we mention the swag bags?
