Today's Big Game Spotlight features former Panthers QB Jake Delhomme

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 on February 11th

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In our Big Game Spotlight we are joined by Ring of Honor inductee for the Carolina Panthers, Quarterback Jack Delhomme. Delhomme led the Panthers on a run through the playoffs, including a double-overtime victory against the St. Louis Rams. After beating the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game, the Panthers made it through to Super Bowl XXXVIII to face the New England Patriots. Despite his personal success in the game (16-of-33 for 323 yards, 3 passing touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 113.6 passer rating), as well as setting a record for longest offensive play from scrimmage in Super Bowl history (an 85-yard pass to Mushin Muhammad), the Panthers fell on a last-minute field goal by Adam Vinatieri.

As Delhomme shared, there are a lot of things to do before the Big Game between Kansas City Chiefs and The San Francisco 49ers. The Big game logistics and preparations: i.e. tickets, hotel accommodations, and flights for family need to be done quickly for all players involved. You have two week to prepare and get your game plan ready for the Big game. Its’s imperative that each player treat this as a business trip. “As far as the game is concern the strength of the Chiefs are found in their Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Tight End, Travis Kelce" says Delhomme.  He adds "Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback we have seen in a very long time. Kansas City offense is good but Patrick makes them exceptional.” He added, "for the 49ers to win they need to run the ball because one of the weaknesses of the Chiefs is that they struggle against the run. It should be a good game but I think fans can expect Patrick Mahomes to hoist the Lombardi Trophy after the game.”
