CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Brass Animals, a high-energy brass band, has been hired by the Hornets to perform pregame, right outside Spectrum Arena, while fans enter for the home opener on October 26th. Here with more is band leader, Ben Lack.
Since 2013, the Brass Animals, have delighted audiences of all shapes and sizes at corporate events, weddings, private and special events, and sporting events all over the country. Self described: their sound fuses the popular New Orleans-style brass band style with an eclectic blend of hip-hop, R&B, funk and pop.
Typical performances include explosive renditions of recent favorites by artists like Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Dr. Dre, Taylor Swift, and Snoop Dogg, as well as our own spin on vintage classics by Louis Armstrong, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Herbie Hancock, The Meters and more. “We are a national troupe of brass band musicians that got started in 2013” says Lack. He adds “we cover popular Top 40 and second line songs from Beyonce, to Stevie Wonder; the Charlotte Brass Animals is one of the oldest Brass Animals bands we have.” In addition to performing for the Hornets, they have recently performed on All Elite Wrestling in Bojangles Arena and at corporate events at Bank of America Stadium.
Today they played “When The Saint’s Go Marching In” for the Charlotte Today audience. For more information click on the link Brass Animals and Facebook!
