Celebrate yourself in the New Year

Kristy Kuhl shares tips on how to celebrate your own milestones

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In the New Year, we should be focusing on celebrating progress and pausing to reflect on our accomplishments. On Tuesday's show our first of 2024 - Midfulness and Success Coach, Kristy Kuhl joined Charlotte Today with more.

In the busy, hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook our achievements.  One of the main reasons why Kristy Kuhl says it is so important for us to celebrate our progress, and take time to reflect... is because it creates confidence, and serves as motivation and fuel.

Celebrating progress on our overall well-being contributes to our mental and emotional health because it fosters a sense of gratitude and self worth. It also reduces stress and creates happiness!

Many people may struggle with imposter syndrome, feeling like they don't deserve recognition for their achievements. Kuhl adds "while this is common, it is important to recognize and challenge those negative thoughts."

As we begin a new year, reflection is an excellent opportunity to assess your goals, both achieved and yet to be accomplished: what worked well, what lessons you've learned, and use that insight to refine your goals for the upcoming year.
