Charlotte SHOUT! strEATS is this weekend, sponsored by Charlotte Center City Partners

Head to the Gateway Village Sunday April 14th to join in on all the tasty fun

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte StrEATs Festival, a part of Charlotte SHOUT! is happening this weekend! According to the Charlotte StrEATs festival website, attendees can celebrate the city’s culinary scene at this partially FREE event!  (Saturday is ticketed tastings, Sunday is free)

The festival will feature a special appearance from Chef Aarón Sánchez! Aarón is an award-winning chef, TV personality, author and philanthropist. His television career spans over two decades starring on hit shows such as Food Network’s Chopped and the Emmy-nominated series Taco Trip. A James Beard Award winner, Aarón is the chef/owner of several restaurants throughout the U.S. including Johnny Sánchez, Showbird and Adobo Cantina.

Aarón will be doing a cooking demonstration as well as emceeing our Neighborhood Cook-off! These battles will pit chefs head-to-head in a cook-off to win the title of StrEATs Neighborhood Champion.

While you are taking in all the culinary talent on our stage, make sure you shop the carefully curated artisan market featuring some of the city’s top culinary vendors, enjoy food trucks, music, art, and more! We will also have wristbands available for purchase to participate in our craft cocktail tasting.
