CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dish, located at 1220 Thomas Ave. in the heart of Plaza Midwood, is turning 21 on October 21, 2023. Owner Amanda Cranford is the third owner of Dish and is working to keep the edge, grit and "come as you are" vibe of Dish that many Charlotteans have loved for years, while also adding some funky and unique dishes to attract new residents of Charlotte.
For its birthday party on October 21, Dish will host a “finally legal” party. There will be all-day drink specials like $4 shots and $1.50 PBR cans. They will be hosting a $21 buffet on Dish's patio. Live music will be going on from 6 p.m.-midnight, but the party won't stop there. The restaurant will stay open for late-night food and drinks until 1:30 a.m.
In a city experiencing intense growth, it’s important that the businesses that gave Charlotte its character are supported. Dish has seen the transformation of Plaza Midwood, and plans to be around much longer. Think of Dish as the feisty grandma of Plaza Midwood.
