Father's Day and golf... the two go "hand in hand," in many households.

Joining us today was our friend, Mark Greenhalgh, the Host of The Golf Shop Radio Show...and joining us on the couch - an avid golfer in his own right, Wes Woodin from Dry-Pro (who joined us later in the show to talk about his business).

Father’s Day is this weekend and if your struggling of what to get Dad, get him something from the sport he loves...Golf. At The Golf Radio Show they’ve been talking all week about how special a golf gift would be for Dad. Established in 2009, The Golf Shop Radio Show takes listeners “From Tee to Green and Everywhere In Between,” entertaining the hardcore golfer, the weekend hacker and anyone who is a fan of spirited talk-radio.

If it is being discussed out on the course or in the golf shop, hosts Mark “Greeny” Greenhalgh and Matt Blanchard will cover it – golf story or not – and listeners love their varying approaches to topics and interviews.

But today it was all about Father’s Day gifts for Dad. “Dad doesn’t need a necktie but you can get him golf items that he would love” says Greenhalgh. He adds “buy dad a 12 pack set of golf balls or tees or a glove or golf shoes your dad will thank you for them.”   He adds "if you want to get something you know he would love, surprise dad with a round of Golf at one of the local courses or maybe buy dad some time at a golf simulator.”  You can also get dad a subscription to monthly gift boxes from a company called Short Par 4. Don’t forget you can’t go wrong with a new driver or woods. If your Dad is a beginning golfer or not sign up dad for lessons or take him out to eat and hit balls at the famous Top Golf establishment. “These are all great ideas but my dream gift would be a new set of irons for Father’s Day” says Woodin. Your dad will love any of these ideas and make sure to tune in to the Golf Shop Radio Show. For more information about the Golf Shop Radio Show visit www.thegolfshopshow.com.
