The American Lung Association's "Fight for Air Climb” is approaching fast. Here with more is India Sadler from the Lung Association and Kim Wilhelm who will be participating in her 10th climb!. The Fight For Air Climb is a major campaign supporting people with lung disease who fight for every breath.
The American Lung Association in North Carolina is hosting the 11th annual Fight For Air Climb Charlotte on Saturday, March 23rd. Participants, from beginners to competitive climbers to firefighters and first responders in full gear, will climb to 50 stories (833 stairs) of The VUE. Lung health is extremely important. More than 1.4 million people in North Carolina live with lung disease, like asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Most of us have at least one person in our lives impacted by lung disease and lung cancer. “I have participated in the Fight For Air Climb to honor my mother Betty who passed away from lung cancer” says Wilhelm. She adds “ I have participated number of Air Climbs and looking forward to my 10th Air climbs.” “It has truly been a wonderful experience meeting new people and raising money for a great cause.”
The great thing about stairclimbing is that nearly everyone can participate. People of all fitness levels can join us on the stairs. The money raised help lung health programs like COVID-19 Action Initiative, The American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE initiative, Asthma Basics and Better Breathers Clubs. Help!
