As Election Day approaches, Lyft continues its mission to be a force for good in communities across the country by ensuring that every eligible voter has access to the polls. Through their 2024 LyftUp Voting Access Program, Lyft is stepping up by offering 50% discounted rideshare, bike, and scooter rides to the polls on November 5, helping communities across the U.S. to make their voices heard.

The program started in 2014, but in this critical election year and with new voting barriers implemented around the country, Lyft is aiming to ensure transportation is not a barrier to access the polls by providing 25% more rides to the polls compared to 2022. Lyft’s partnerships with key organizations like the NAACP, League of Women Voters, and VoteRiders reinforces the rideshare platform’s commitment to accessibility.

This year, Lyft is also expanding its efforts by partnering with Levi Strauss & Co, Showtime, and MTV to close the voting gap among community college students. With one-third of U.S. post-secondary students attending community colleges, this initiative focuses on increasing voter registration and turnout in this underserved population.
