May is National Foster Care Awareness Month

Local organization 'Charlotte Angels' has an event to raise funds and awareness this weekend

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — According to their website, The Charlotte Angels mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

A Million Dreams Family Festival is coming up this weekend! The goal is to raise funds and awareness during Foster Care Awareness Month. They will have Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Vendors, Stage Entertainment, Food Trucks, Games, Prizes, and more. Mascot Dance Party with Homer from Charlotte Knights at 11:45am. 

A Million Dreams Family Festival is from  10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, May 18th. It will take place at the Village Park in Kannapolis and is free and open to the public.
