The Hall of Honor is the heart and soul of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Enshrinement in the Hall of Honor marks the pinnacle of a career. Every year, 15 nominees are selected by representatives from NASCAR and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, track owners (from both major facilities and historic short tracks) and media. The Nomination Committee's (22 members) then select 10 nominees for the Modern Era Ballot. The Honors Committee (43 members, including all living NASCAR Hall of Famers) selects five nominees for the Pioneer Ballot.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame has three inductees annually. In February of 2020, the decision was made to reduce annual inductees from five to three. This was done in order to preserve the prestige of the NASCAR Hall of Fame and maintain the high standard of enshrinement.
This year’s induction ceremony for The NASCAR Hall of Fame's Class of 2025 will take place February 7, 2025. Carl Edwards, Ralph Moody and Ricky Rudd make up the Hall of Fame’s 15th class. In addition, Dr. Dean Sicking was named as the recipient of the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. We also learned, each inductee gets a Blue Jacket signifying they made it to the highest honor of NASCAR” .
