CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CVS District Leader Sepideh Manafi joined Charlotte Today to help raise awareness of substance misuse and promote positive mental health. Unfortunately, youth, especially teens are vulnerable to high-risk and substance-seeking behaviors like opioid misuse. That’s why awareness is key to prevention.
As parents and caregivers, it is important to speak with children about medication safety. Manafi advises parents and caregivers to ask questions and find out what your child knows so you can educate them properly.
CVS Health has developed Pharmacists Teach and Dose of Knowledge, two programs that bring pharmacists into the classroom in person and by video. The programs, in partnership with Discovery Education, empower K-12 students to make healthy, informed choices.
