The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys

Go behind the scenes of the high-stakes world of farming and ranching

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Life in the country seems to have taken the world by storm recently. The McBee Dynasty is a series that continues to shed light on the often harsh realities that come with being a farmer and living a cowboy lifestyle. Joining the show this morning were Steve McBee, and his son Jesse McBee.

Shot in rural Missouri, The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys leads the audience into an exploration of the high-stakes world of farming and ranching. The focus is on McBee Farms and Cattle, a major farm in the MidWest. The docu-series follows its owners and employees as they race against time to secure a $100 million deal with a venture capital firm.

The show follows their day-to-day operations and how McBee hopes to start more businesses while also dealing with theft and some possible animosity from other locals in the area. “We are a first generation farm and we built it acre by acre in 1998” says father, Steven. He adds “It became a passion and it took on a life of its on. One of the most rewarding thing about farming is working with my dad and brothers ” says Jesse. Jesse adds “It’s been a wild ride to get this point but nothing in life come easy - you have to have a good work ethic. Reality tv is a great ride but having my sons on the show makes it easier” says Steven. “Farming and Cattle ranching is not for the “Faint of Heart.” He adds “it’s very demanding (nature can take an unexpected toll on you) and I would advise anyone getting into farming to count the cost and be a 100% committed.”
