Today’s workout features Bands

Get in shape using Bands with Motivational Coach Leonard Wheeler

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Today in our wellness spotlight we are doing a band work out with former NFL player and Motivational Coach Leonard Wheeler. “Bands are inexpensive and will give you an excellent workout” says Wheeler. He adds “I have selected three exercises that will get your heart pumping... but more importantly work on our lower body balance and strength.”

Here they are:

Exercise 1: Bicycles – Take a seat put bands on bottom of your feet, with toes facing towards your head slowly do bicycles with rotating from side to side

Exercise 2: Upside Down Spread – great exercise for hip, women love this exercise. Men not so muc. Lay down extend legs in the air at 90Degree angle from body. Now spread feet apart about 12 – 18 inches. Continue for a 20 repetitions.

Exercise 3 Hip Flexor Pulses – stand up lift left foot 12-18 inches off ground and pulse leg up and down.
