Here are some tips to shop for Halloween at goodwill:

Tip 1: First go in with a theme that you would like to wear. The Goodwill Halloween Survey found that Halloween costumes based on pop culture trends or characters from TV, movies, video games or books are the most popular among respondents. 29% prefer those kinds of costumes this year, It can be pop culture like Beetlejuice, other movie trends, scary themes, heavenly themes , it’s your choice but have an idea of what you want.

Tip 2: Shop everywhere – there are so many great deals make sure you exhaust all departments. This spooky season, more than half of celebrants (57%) are considering do-it-yourself costumes and secondhand décor as a means to save money. There are full package costumes that you can get for around $10, so make sure you take advantage of the incredible low prices at Goodwill..

Tip 3: Remember Goodwill has everything that both men and women can use for Halloween so let your imagination run wild with costume ideas.

Aside from wearing costumes, the most popular ways people plan to celebrate include giving out candy to trick-or-treaters (49%), decorating their homes (36%) and/or attending parties with family/friends (29%).  Consistent with prior years, Goodwill tops the list of favorite places to shop (83%) among those who prefer DIY costumes and look for materials at thrift stores.  It’s important to remember that when you shop at Goodwill your are helping the community.
