BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Tweetsie Railroad is gearing up for a new, fun-filled season for everyone to enjoy!
North Carolina's beloved train-themed amusement park in the Blue Ridge Mountains is retiring its "Round Up" ride, but replacing it with "The Bullwhip," a pendulum swing ride that also rotates 360 degrees.
The Bullwhip will debut this summer.
Classic rides like the Ferris Wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl and Buckaroo Drop will all be open for loads of family fun, along with train rides and the Deer Park Zoo.
Opening day is Sat., April 6. The park will be open Saturdays and Sundays during the season from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There is also a new chaperone policy in place. People 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years old.
