1. In his own words: Chris Watts describes murders of his family in chilling detail

Chris Watts said he was surprised to see Colorado Bureau of Investigation Agent Tammy Lee, FBI Special Agent Grahm Coder and Frederick Police Department Det. Dave Baumhover inside of the Wisconsin prison where he’s serving three life sentences plus 84 years for the murders of his pregnant wife and two young daughters.

He said he’s haunted by his daughter Bella’s last words.

“It’s like every time I close my eyes, I just hear her saying, ‘Daddy, no,” Watts said. “… I hear that every day.”

2. Report: Tepper to meet with South Carolina leaders about new Panthers practice facility

Two teams, one state might soon be more than a slogan for the Carolina Panthers. According to reports, owner David Tepper is set to visit with South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and other state leaders next week.

The team and political leaders will supposedly discuss incentives to try to lure a new practice facility to York County. The rumored site is in Fort Mill at the former site of Charlotte Knights Stadium, about 15 miles south of Bank of America Stadium. It's poised right off I-77 and already zoned for a major mixed-use development.

3. Charlotte Russe is going out of business and holding sales in all of their stores

One month after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, women's clothing retailer Charlotte Russe will close down all of its stores, a spokesperson for the company confirmed.

The retailer posted Wednesday evening on its website that its online store has closed and that going out of business sales would start Thursday, March 7 at all of its remaining stores.

The company had previously announced in February plans to close 94 of its stores. Charlotte Russe operated more than 500 stores located primarily in malls and outlet centers.

4. A man was arrested in connection with a 2008 quadruple homicide in south Charlotte

Dominick O'Neill Daise was arrested and charged with four counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Andrew Babyak, Cherilynn Crawford, Timothy Stone, and William Royster. The four were found shot dead in an apartment on High Meadow Lane near Archdale Drive and I-77 on Easter weekend 2008.

“This is obviously a day we are very grateful for and we’ve waited 11 years for,” said Lu Prudhomme, Crawford's mother. “It’s going to be a lifelong journey living without Cherilyn and just want to thank everyone today.”

Detectives said they do not believe Daise acted alone in the killings. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone who has information related to the case. You can call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

5. A large fire that ripped through a north Charlotte apartment fire was intentionally set, investigators said

A fire crew returning from a medical call nearby spotted the flames and was on the scene at Hunter’s Pointe before the call even reached 911. In total, a team of over 50 firefighters was able to get the fire under control in about an hour.

Charlotte firefighters on scene said one person was inside the building at the time of the fire and was able to escape on their own. No injuries were reported.

A Charlotte Fire official said the Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the families that have been affected by the fire. Six people were displaced out of four units. The apartment complex leasing center was destroyed. Damage was estimated at $200,000.
