This year, InReach offered services to over 1,200 people.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The annual Dream Maker Luncheon to benefit InReach was held Thursday at Holy Trinity Greek Cathedral in Charlotte. Over 400 people attended the event, which included a delicious meal served by the InReach family and local community volunteers.

InReach offers opportunities for people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities, as well as their families.

This year, InReach offered services to over 1,200 people. The nonprofit helped these individuals develop important life skills, including managing money, shopping for groceries, accessing transportation and community resources, and finding and maintaining employment.

Things that most people take for granted can be a challenge for someone with a disability. Through the services of InReach, people engage in activities they enjoy. That includes participating in church communities, volunteering for service projects, planning vacations, and attending fitness, art, and music classes.

Those wishing to volunteer or make a contribution to Inreach can do so on the nonprofit's website.
