The 78th annual Thanksgiving parade will light up the Queen City as it marches through the heart of Uptown.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Multiple streets in Uptown will be closed Wednesday afternoon and evening due to the Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade, officials announced Wednesday.

The 2024 Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 9th Street and North Tryon before marching south along Tryon to Good Samaritan Way.

The parade moved from its Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving Eve in 2021 as a way to officially kick off the holiday season in the Queen City.

While the parade is a free event to attend, tickets were on sale for reserved VIP seating. The VIP seating area will line Tryon Street from Brooklyn Village Avenue to Good Samaritan Way.
