CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It's the most wonderful time of the year!
With the calendar flipped to November, 102.9 The Lake officially flipped the switch to holiday music on Friday.
Christmas music started on 102.9 at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3. The Lake, which is known as the "We Play Anything" station, is currently cranking out all of your holiday favorites, ranging from Mariah Carey and Burl Ives to Taylor Swift, Nat King Cole and Kelly Clarkson. This is the third year 102.9 The Lake has changed to an all-Christmas format.
The station will return to its standard adult contemporary format on Dec. 26. Until then, 102.9 The Lake is Charlotte's home for the biggest holiday hits.
"All of us at 102.9 The Lake are excited to bring back this annual holiday tradition once again as listeners are sure to get in a festive mood with our non-stop holiday music,” A.J., iHeartMedia Charlotte's senior vice president of programming, said. "Our listeners are ready for their favorite holiday music more than ever and we're so happy to be able to bring back that holiday cheer."
You can listen to WLKO on the radio at 102.9 FM, online and on the iHeartRadio app.
If it's a little early for the holidays, iHeartRadio has stations for every music taste in the Carolinas, including 96.9 The Kat, 99.7 The Fox, 106.5 The End, Charlotte's BIN 98.7 and HITS 96.1.
