First, the two turtle doves will cost much more than they did last year. According to the index, get ready to spend about $750. That's up 25% from last year. This is due to their apparent rarity.

The only other gift with a double-digit percentage increase is the first gift in our carol, the partridge in a pear tree. PNC says its 13.9% increase is because the price of the pear tree keeps rising year to year.

Remaining consistent every year are the four calling birds at $599.96 and the eight maids of milking at $58, both unchanged in price.

And if you want to buy your true love all of the 12 gifts for the 12 days of Christmas? Get ready to dish out almost $202,000.
