CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bi-Lo announced that it will be closing two stores in the Charlotte area after the grocery chain filed bankruptcy last year.
The stores are part of a dozen locations that will close by March 25. The south Charlotte location near St. Matthew in Ballantyne and the Belmont store on Wilkinson Boulevard are expected to close on or before March 25.
"We realize that the closure of an underperforming store in your community can be challenging," said Senior Manager of Corporate Communications Joe Caldwell. "We do not take these decisions lightly, and only make this tough choice after careful consideration of its impact on our associates and our customers has been made."
Bi-Lo said all of the closing locations will offer discounts before closing.
