El Thrifty Social closes at Optimist Hall

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After five years in business, El Thrifty Social has closed at Optimist Hall. 

Optimist Hall confirmed that the restaurant's final day open was Sept. 22.

In a post on Instagram, El Thrifty thanked Optimist Hall for the space, thanked the staff of the restaurant for their work, and Charlotteans for "all the margarita memories."

Optimist Hall did not provide further information on El Thrifty's departure, but spoke on the potential future for the space.

“We want to thank the El Thrifty team for bringing their original concept to Optimist Hall and look forward to activating this space this holiday season to further provide our guests with the fun, family-friendly experiences they’ve come to know and love,” Erik Johnson, Optimist Hall Partner, said.
