CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wells Fargo office employees in Uptown Charlotte are making a major move this year.
The bank shared an email sent from CEO of Consumer and Small Business Banking Mary Mack to employees with WCNC Charlotte, confirming plans to move employees out of One Wells Fargo Center and Two Wells Fargo Center into its two other Uptown properties. By the end of 2023, the bank's office employees will be moved into Three Wells Fargo Center and 550 South Tryon Street.
The South Tryon Street office, formerly known as the Duke Energy Building, will be 95% occupied by Wells Fargo according to Mack's letter. Improvements to both the South Tryon Street office and Three Wells Fargo Center will be made, from refreshing workspaces to upgraded food options. 21 floors of the former Duke Energy building are slated for remodeling, while 14 floors at Three Wells Fargo Center are also on deck for remodeling.
In addition to the moves happening in Uptown, Mack said employees at the bank's Customer Information Center will also see upgrades, including additional workspaces, a new parking deck, revamped food court, and new contact center space.
