CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you’re in the market to buy a home, you know it can be nothing short of daunting. For first-time buyers, the process can prove even more grueling.
According to realtor.com, the median home listing price in the United States is $425,000. In the Charlotte area, the median home listing price is $400,000 with homes, on average, selling 4.05% over the asking price.
With more buyers on the market than homes, Charlotte is what experts call a “seller's market.” While this is great news if you want to sell a property, it is not great news if you’re in the market to buy a home.
There are areas in the United States where the dream of home ownership is not only achievable but it’s also affordable.
