CHARLOTTE, N.C. — From groceries to grooming products, just about everything is costing more these days. But there are some bargains to be had if you know what items retailers plan to discount and when.
Here are five things you might find discounted this month according to coupon company, RetailMeNot:
1. Photo gifts
Just in time for Father’s Day, photography service companies are offering deals. If you think your dad would love a coffee mug with your face on it, this is a great time to give that gift.
Average discount: 45%
2. Home & garden products
The big home improvement stores are discounting tools and home improvement products in the weeks before Father’s Day.
Average discount: 30%
3. Outdoor gear
Expect outdoor stores to kick off the summer with sales on summer staples like camping equipment, outdoor games and inflatable pools.

4. Casual clothing
Expect to see sales on spring apparel ahead of the summer season as well as discounts on casual summer basics like shorts and tee shirts.

While the deepest discounts will be at the end of the summer season, you can still find deals near the end of June ahead of Independence Day sales.
