Experts with Consumer Affairs said your weekend celebrations will likely cost more than they did in 2023.

Datasembly, which tracks grocery prices in real-time, predicts that consumers will have to spend an average of 10% more on their cookout staples than they did last year.
Let's take a look at how the cookout costs break down:
Believe it or not, experts say the biggest increase over 2023 is relish, whose price is up nearly 50% since last Memorial Day. And if you’re deciding between hamburgers and hotdogs this year, you might want to go for the latter. Data shows the price of beef hotdogs has not changed since last year.
However, if you’re looking to grill up some hamburgers, get ready to spend about 14% more for the patties this year. And if you opt for hamburgers, experts say the price for hamburger buns has stayed relatively unchanged with less than 1% change.
