CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some people want to escape the hustle and bustle of a large city and settle their family down in a nice suburb. But with sprawling metropolitan areas, it's sometimes hard to choose which one will be best.
A recent SmartAsset study revealed the best suburbs to live in America, and three of them in the top 100 are near Charlotte, North Carolina.

The study used a few parameters to determine its ranking, including the suburb having to be no more than an hour away from a large city and have a population of more than 5,000. Certain categories like jobs, affordability and livability were taken into account, too.
