CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolinas Medical Center's main campus went on a brief lockdown Wednesday night following a gun threat.
Officials said an anonymous caller said someone was in the emergency room with a firearm. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police were contacted, and the area was restricted until the investigation was finished.
Hospital security along with CMPD determined the call was a false alarm. CMPD said no gun was found, and no one was threatened.
