CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- More than $12,000 dollars worth of high-powered weapons are on the streets and in the wrong hands.
Police are searching for the person or people who broke into Gander Mountain off of Hoover Creek Boulevard and got away over the weekend.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say the burglars got away with more than a dozen weapons, including a bushmaster XM 15, a $1,500 Sig Sauer rifle and a Ruger rifle that goes for $600.
Inside the store, cardboard boxes covered part of the firearms glass display case.
The crime happened early in the morning Saturday morning before the store opened, and to make matters worse, federal investigators say the store security video is so poor in quality, they can't even make out a description of the thieves.
There is a $10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the people responsible.
