CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two men have been arrested for their involvement with a December triple homicide in south Charlotte, police say.

Antonio Lafloyd Robinson, 34, and Jovon Raymar Twitty, 34, have each been charged with three counts of murder after CMPD says they were responsible for the shooting deaths of Naquivs Aqueece Benson, Jarvis Mandrell Benson, and Javarius Deshawn McGee.

On December 4, 2015, officers were dispatched to a home in the 9500 block of China Grove Church Road in south Charlotte for an assault with a deadly weapon. When authorities arrived on scene, they found all three victims dead, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

CMPD says Robinson was arrested Thursday morning in Lancaster, S.C. through a combined effort from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, SLED, and VCAT. Robinson is still in the custody of the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say Twitty was apprehended by VCAT Thursday afternoon in Charlotte. He is currently being interviewed by detectives and will be transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.

"Nothing that they were involved in justified the actions that were taken and it does not do anything that the pain and suffering the families felt when these gentlemen lost their lives.,
 said Maj. Cameron Selvey, CMPD.

Two days after the Benson brothers were gunned down their mom spoke during a prayer vigil at China Grove AME Zion Church.

"For someone to take their lives so cowardly, it hurts deeply," said Laverne McGriff.  "I'm fighting for the next generation.  I can't do anything about my sons now, but I'm fighting for my sons' sons."

It took nearly eight weeks of tracking down leads and executing interrogations for police to obtain warrants for Robinson and Twitty.

"The families are very grateful," said Selvey.  "He said they are very relieved."

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
