CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old were charged with armed robbery in northeast Charlotte, police said.
The incident happened on October 29 around 6:30 a.m. in the 3700 block of Frew Rd. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the teens drew guns on the victims and demanded property and money.
When the suspects were found, police said they had one of the victim's cell phones. One of the teens received minor injuries from a K9 bite.
Two guns were found during a search of two suspects. In addition, the teens were accused of being in a stolen car.
One of the 15-year-olds was charged with:
- Armed robbery
- Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
- Felony larceny, possession of a stolen motor vehicle
- Possession of a concealed weapon
- Possession of a handgun by a minor
- Resist/delay/obstruct arrest
The 14-year-old was charged with:
- Armed robbery
- Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
- Felony larceny
- Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
- Felony possession of stolen goods
This suspect was also on electronic monitoring but cut his monitor, police said.
The other 15-year-old was charged with:
- Armed robbery
- Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
- Possession of stolen motor vehicle
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Possession of a handgun by a minor
- Felony larceny
- Resist/delay/obstruct arrest
The teens were taken to the Cabarrus Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Their names were not released due to their ages.
