CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were arrested in connection to an armed carjacking and shooting in east Charlotte Thursday morning, police said.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received info on a license plate reader about a stolen car that was linked to a carjacking and shooting that happened Tuesday on Monroe Road.
The victim in the shooting on June 6 suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
While attempting a traffic stop on the vehicle, the suspects fled, leading officers on a pursuit, police said.
Four people jumped and ran from the vehicle after it crashed in the area near Monroe Road and Idlewild Road, headed toward the Aldi, police said.
All four suspects were arrested without incident.
