CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has been arrested for an May armed robbery that injured a store clerk in east Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced Friday.
Quandrivus Burks was charged with Armed Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury for his involvement in the May 26 shooting at the Cornor Mart, which is located at 2101 Eastway Drive.
When police arrived around 1 a.m., they found the store clerk had been struck in the leg by a bullet. At the time, police said the suspect fired multiple shots.
Investigators had released a surveillance picture of one of two suspects after the armed robbery.
Burks was developed as a suspect in this case after an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers, police said.
This is an open and active investigation. Detectives are working to determine the identity of a second suspect who participated in this crime.
