CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two armed robbery suspects are in custody after a police chase Friday afternoon, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says.
Around 4:30 p.m. Friday, police tried to stop a car that was linked to an ongoing armed robbery investigation. The driver did not stop, leading to a police chase.
Shortly after, the passenger jumped out of the car near Rogers Street in West Charlotte, where they were promptly arrested.
The driver, 34-year-old Bryan Calderon, kept going. About 10 minutes later, the chase ended when Calderon crashed into another car on Rozzelles Ferry Road and was taken into custody.
Calderon is facing several charges.
