CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death in uptown, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports.
Police say 58-year-old Mark Daniel Jamison was found with stab wounds in the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation into the case, CMPD said 62-year-old Marcus Bradley was identified as a suspect. Bradley was interviewed by Homicide Unit detectives, and at the conclusion of the interview, was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
He has been charged with murder and carrying a concealed weapon.
Police say Jamison and Bradley were believed to be in a fight before the crime.
Homicide detectives are canvassing the area to determine if there were any witnesses to this incident.
This incident is being investigated not far from the Music Factory. Over the weekend, a shooting in that area seriously injured one man, who later died.
