LUMBERTON, N.C. -- Police in Lumberton along with the FBI have made an arrest in the kidnapping and murder of 13-year-old Hania Aguilar.
Authorities arrested 34-year-old Michael Ray McLellan in connection to the crime and have charged him with first degree murder, first degree forcible rape and first degree kidnapping among other charges.
Hania was reported missing on November 5 after she was forced into a family member's idling SUV from her driveway in Lumberton.
The SUV was recovered on November 8, but Hania was not located until November 27 when investigators located her body.
McLellan is currently being held in the Robeson County Detention Center without bond. He is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
The investigation is still ongoing and authorities say additional charges may be filed.
