CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge lowered the bond of a man accused of making a bomb threat on a plane before it took off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, police say.
The threat happened around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Police were immediately notified about the threat. Jerry Lee Manyette was removed from the plane and arrested. Chalrotte-Mecklenburg Police's bomb squad conducted a sweep of the plane and determined the threat was not credible.
On Wednesday, a judge lowered Manyette's bond from $75,000 to $5,000. He is scheduled to appear again in court on Feb. 13.
