2 canines join Iredell County Sheriff’s Office

"This duo will play a critical role in keeping our community safe," the sheriff's office said.

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office have added two new canines to the Canine Unit: Canine Kash and Canine Bula.

Both are Belgian Malinois. Canine Kash is teamed with Deputy Codey Moncus on the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team. Canine Bula is teamed with Deputy Devin Ashley on patrol. 

Kash and Bula are trained to search for suspects, protect officers, and more.

"This duo will play a critical role in keeping our community safe, especially in high-risk scenarios where their specialized skills are most needed," the sheriff's office said.
